Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) is a unique initiative by the Government of India and the flagship scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) which is being implemented by Nation Skills Development Corporation (NSDC).
The main objective of PMKVY scheme is to enable and mobilize a large number of Indian youth, mainly school and college dropouts and unemployed, to take up skill training and become employable and earn their livelihood. Increase productivity of the existing workforce and align the training and certification to the needs of the country.
The main flow out of this scheme includes mobilization of target beneficiaries followed by their enrollment into preferred job role, training, assessment, certification, placement and placement tracking.
NSDC has designed a specific layout for establishment of model training centers to provide training to target beneficiaries. These centers are also known as Skill India Portal registered accredited and affiliated PMKVY centers.

AISECT has been an active and one of the leading partners of National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) since 2011. Through its partnership with NSDC, AISECT aims to skill 1.3 million youth in a span of 10 years on pan India basis.
How to get enrolled under PMKVY
1. Find a Training Centre
You can directly call AISECT’s NSDC-PMU department or AISECT-NSDC PMKK department on following numbers to find nearest AISECT NSDC PMKVY training centre in your area.

Log on to www.pmkvyofficial.org and follow below mentioned steps
i) Click on ‘Find a training centre’ tab
ii) Fill your state and district information
iii) Type ‘AISECT SKILLS MISSION’ under ‘TP Name’ and click on search
Please visit your nearest AISECT NSDC PMKVY training centre along with your original Aadhar card, passport size photograph and original and photo copy of your achieved qualification certificates. A counsellor will assist your queries regarding available training programs and will suggest best course according to you qualification, career preference and available placement opportunities. As it is a government funded scheme, no fees will be charged from any candidate for any services provided. On the contrary, after successful enrollment of the candidate, an induction including PMKVY dress and course content will be provided free on cost.
As per NSDC guidelines, complete training will be provided through state of art infrastructure and advanced equipments. Training duration varies for each job role covering all mandatory QP-NOS. Apart from providing training according to the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF), we will also impart training in Soft Skills, Entrepreneurship, Financial and Digital Literacy. Industrial visit, sessions from industry experts and on job training may also be included depending upon opted job roles. Attendance during training will be captured on Aadhar enabled biometric attendance system (AEBAS)
4. Assessment and Certification
Assessment will be completed by third party assessment agency post completion of training. Only candidates completing 70% of attendance in training will be allowed to appear in assessment. Candidates have to bring their original Aadhar card for appearing in assessment. Mode of assessment will be either offline or online. A certificate issued by NSDC and recognized by relevant SSC is provided to every successful candidate.
As it is previously said that the main objective of this scheme is to encourage livelihood opportunities, a good number of placement opportunities will be provided to every successful candidates. Apart of this, information regarding ‘Mudra’ load will be provided to candidates to encourage in getting self-employed. Through its self owned job search portal ‘www.rojgarmantra.com’ and ‘rojgar melas’, AISECT provide numerous opportunities for employment to its candidates.
A separate placement tracking department of AISECT continuously communicates with placed candidates. Our urban and rural based branches are always ready to extend their support, if any candidates wants to move from his native location for employment.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Recognized prior learning (RPL) is a process designed for certifying candidates against their possessed skills, knowledge and experience gained through working and learning. It can be gained at any stage of their lives, through formal and informal learning. RPL is pretty necessary for candidates living or belonging to rural areas or underdeveloped areas and not having any certification for skills possessed by them. It helps them to get their skills polished and becoming more productive. It helps candidate by getting certified and learning how to prepare and maintain work area, basic Domain Skills in changing dynamics, work area safety and security procedure, soft skills and Entrepreneurship skills.
Some preferred sectors for RPL training are Agriculture, Electronics, Apparel, Automotives, Beauty and Wellness, Construction, Gems and Jewellery, IT/ITES, Handicraft and Textiles. Target beneficiary will be provided certificate and 100% placement assistance after successful completion of their training. Also it opens new doors of entrepreneurship and self employment in front of them. Special project (PMKVY)
Special project is an integral part of PMKVY. The main objective of the project is to push trainings in special areas and premises of government bodies, corporate/industry bodies and also to encourage trainings in special job roles not defied under the available QP/NOS. Special project is a project that requires deviating from the terms and conditions of short term training under PMKVY by any centre. Main target beneficiaries for special projects are unemployed youth, school/college dropouts residing in and around proposed project location. However preference should be given to persons belonging to marginalized social groups, women, persons with disability, and those belonging to BPL category.
